Lower Sodium Version of Beyond Beef Burger

For this version I used Beyond Beef vegan bulk burger.

Ingredients
Brown Rice
- ¾ cup brown rice
- 1 ½ cup water
Burger
- 16 oz. Beyond Beef bulk
- 2 cups soft cooked brown rice
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Ground black pepper (pinch)
Instructions
Brown Rice
- Rinse and drain rice, then place in a small pan.
- Add measured water to pan, bring to a boil then simmer covered over low heat for about 45 minutes or until rice is soft and tender.
- Remove from heat until all water is absorbed.
Burger
- In a bowl, break up Beyond Beef and brown rice to make mixing easier. Sprinkle with pepper and garlic.
- Divide into patties.
- Grill outdoors using a perforated grill pan that’s been lightly brushed with oil or cook indoors on the stovetop using a heavy skillet. (I like cast iron)
