About Chef Ken

A pioneer in vegetarian cooking, celebrated chef Ken Bergeron has won numerous medals and authored the definitive guide, Professional Vegetarian Cooking (Awarded “Best Professional Book in English” at the 1999 World Cookbook Fair, Versailles, France).

Among his many additional accolades, he has been chosen as “Favorite U.S. Vegan Chef, 2002 in “Best of” issue of VegNews national magazine and won the first ever Gold medals awarded for savory foods and pastry at culinary arts salons in the U.S. (1991, 1994) and at the “Culinary Olympics” in Frankfurt, Germany, 1992. Ken is a Vegan Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation.
